About Us
Homestead is a design firm run by Sean Phillips & Sam Schneider. They met at MIT’s graduate School of Architecture and City Planning.
Before founding Homestead, they worked in Beijing, Mexico City, Tokyo, and San Francisco at some of the best architecture firms in the world. Together they worked on affordable housing projects, developed new building technology for NASA, and collaborated on projects for the Center For Advanced Urbanism at MIT’s Media Lab.
Small Space Experts
Homestead only designs ADUs. This means our singular focus is creating designs that optimize small spaces. You'll notice thoughtful design features such as built-in storage in each of our projects.
